The FDA has stated that the levels of radiation in fish is at levels that are safe. They do not deny that radiation exists in the food chain, they simply claim that the levels are not a danger to humans that consume the food.

Here is a map, one that shows the spread of the radiation over many productive fishing grounds.

The red is the fishing grounds that are common and productive, the radiation markers are from Woods Hole where they have tested and found unhealthy levels of radiation.
